In getting a GLIMPSE of mission, Pastoral Leaders will gain experiential exposure to world mission that will enable them and their people to be better informed about world mission and their world mission organisation, Tranzsend. Witnessing world mission often invokes an emotional response from participants toward the people, country and/or ministry they have just experienced. GLIMPSE is designed to invoke both an emotional and theological response. Pastoral Leaders need to develop a sound theological response that will give a deeper understanding of world mission, helping them to teach God's missional purpose in the world to their people. GLIMPSE is not mission tourism; it is mission training.
During a GLIMPSE trip seasoned Tranzsend overseas workers will expose participants to mission on the ground which will enable a heart response, followed closely behind by a theological discussion.
Glimpse is a team experience designed to give pastoral leaders exposure to, and an understanding of world mission. A 'glimpse' of Tranzsend's wide range of activity in four countries across Asia, this trip will enable pastors to be better informed about world mission and their denominational organisation.
"Glimpse transformed my life. Having seen first-hand God's work in the world through the staff of Tranzsend, my approach to global mission as a pastor is far more passionate than it would have ever been otherwise. It's a complete privilege that demands response." – Mike Renner, Whitianga
"I was overwhelmed by the depth and need for the work that our people are engaged in... and a fresh revelation that we need to do all we can from New Zealand to enable the work to continue. Pastors need to go on a Glimpse trip to truly understand and grasp God's mission in this world as it relates to them and particularly the communities that God has called them to. I highly recommend this experience." - Gary Grut, BYM National Team Leader
